14-May-2012 The Road Sign is Ready
We received word today that the new road sign is ready and will be erected this Saturday May 19. Bob will be there with the sign on Saturday so we’re looking for a few strong bodies to help with installation as well as suggestions for it’s placement. If you have suggestions please email me (Tim) and I’ll pass them along, otherwise feel free to join us this Saturday to help in the fun!
Information re: Jack Adam
Final arrangements have now been made for the internment of Jack Adam and all lake residents with an interest in attending are welcome. Internment will occur on Saturday May 19 (the long weekend) at 11:30am at the Warner Cemetery in St. Davids, Ontario. There will be sandwiches and a luncheon after a short service at the St. Davids United Church. Directions to Warner Cemetery (or link to Google Map):
- QEW to St. Catharines
- Over the Welland Canal Bridge (Garden City Skyway)
- Exit at Glendale Avenue
- Go under the overpass and turn right towards Niagara-on-the-Lake
- Go right down to the traffic light
- Go right and travel towards St. Davids
- Turn right on Concession #6
- Turn right on Warner Road
- Travel 1/4 mile on gravel road – Cemetery is on the left adjacent to the QEW
